PyroPortal exists because the team running displays got fed up with spreadsheets, paper magazine registers and WhatsApp rotas — and built the system they wished they had.
The story
PyroPortal started as an internal tool inside a working UK display company. After years of cobbling business management together from off-the-shelf tools, the founders teamed up with Lumatech UK to turn the in-house system into a platform other operators could use.
Every screen has been shaped by someone who has actually fired a display, run a magazine, signed off a risk assessment and chased an operator on the morning of a wedding. The result is software that uses the language operators already use, surfaces the data they actually need, and works on the phone they have in their pocket on site.
What we believe
- Compliance should be a byproduct of doing the job. If you have to do extra work to be compliant, the system is broken.
- Operators’ time is the most valuable thing in the business. Software that wastes it is worse than no software.
- UK fireworks are a UK industry. US-centric SaaS doesn’t know what an HSE inspector wants, or how a BPA membership works, or what NEQ means.
- Your data is your data. Export it whenever you want. Take it with you if you ever leave.
